Synthetic Cricket Pitch Facilities

Synthetic Cricket Practice areas provide an essential all weather resource for all cricketers. We build these facilities to any number of pitches and to varying lengths of between 10 - 22 meters.

Synthetic GrassAll our synthetic cricket pitches is constructed using the Oval LSR 11mm synthetic grass.

These pitches is then sand dressed to an acceptable level for good bounce and pace of the wicket.

Synthetic GrassWe construct these facilities in comfort of your backyard to your specification.

The bounce and pace of these wickets can be varied by more or less sand infill. Wicket lines can be painted on or permanently glued onto the base.

Synthetic GrassNot only do we do the pitch construction, but also with an innovative way, we construct cricket nets. More on our cricket net construction mythology can be read here.

Our reference stretches all over the country to mention only a few, Centurion High School, Tukkies University, Nelspruit Bergland, Aurora private school, Centurion Sport Centre, and so the list goes on.

We make use of two methods for our base constructions.

The first method consist of a reinforced concrete slab, usually 2m wide, 100mm thick.

The slab is normally left for 7-10 days to cure, then the Oval pitch grass is glued on top using UV resistant outdoor glue and then in filled with silica sand. The amount of sand infill determine the pace and bounce of the ball.

The second method consist of crusher sand which is stabilized. This base is very similar to a turf pitch base as it provides a solid enough base without the unexpected ball bounce that is caused by concrete bases.

Oval pitch artificial grass is also installed on top of the crusher base and in filled with silica sand.

As an option, an area of 0.5m – 1m on the circumference of the bases, excluding the width towards the bowlers side, may be paved especially if cricket netting is to be erected.

It prevent damages to the netting when the grass are being mowed.

But wait, what about that putting green? No problem, the Oval grass is also used for a putting surface, and we will free of charge gladly install golf cups at the edge corners of the pitch for you, to practice those puts. These cups are strategically placed, not to interfere with any cricket activities.
