Montessori, a well known pre-school facility in Wierda Park has opted to use Turfscape's FT range of grass. They covered nearly all of their playground areas with the FT50 infill grass.

All the parents are fanatically about the grass and Turfscape's workmen ship. "This was a real piece of art" were some of the comments raised by the parents.

An area of ±250m² were covered with the FT50 grass, in filled with sand and rubber to extend the shock absorbency factor. We understand the critical aspects of heights, and that's why we make 100% sure that under all critical areas, the infill material is filled in to maximum.

The kids can now play on the grass during winter and summer, and thus allowed to have more activities outside the classroom.

Gone are the days of continuously replacement of kikuyu or LM grass which cannot take the strain of all the feet traffic. No muddy areas which restrict playing areas during the raining season.

Again, this was not just an option of laying the artificial grass onto the ground, but much preparation went into the base works. This is one of the most critical stages of the project, as the slope of the natural ground area must be considered, and possible water dumping areas must be filled.

As with all our projects, we completely fill the area with drainage material, compact it, and then install the grass.
